How do I register?
Select your athlete’s team through New Member Registration in Studio Director/Studio Pro.
When is the competition schedule available?
The schedule will be added to our calendar once rosters are finalized in late October, early November for the 2026-2027 season.
How Competitions Work
Think of a cheer competition as our athletes' chance to finally show off everything they’ve been working so hard on! After months of practice, teams take the mat to perform a high-energy, action-packed 2.5-minute routine. Judges evaluate and score the performance based on the difficulty and execution of their tumbling, stunts, jumps, and dance. The atmosphere is loud, fast-paced, and incredibly fun.
What can athletes bring into the gym?
Only cheer shoes and water in a closed-top container. Please leave valuables at home.
What does competitive cheer involve?
Athletes train in stunts, pyramids, tumbling, jumps, dance, and choreography. Coaches assign stunt positions based on each athlete’s skills and physical attributes.
What is included in tuition?
Depending on the program, tuition may include competition fees, facility costs, equipment, coaching, and administrative expenses.
Where should a brand-new athlete start?
It depends on their age and goals. Beginners ages 6–18 can start with our Cheer Classes or Show Team Glimmer, while younger athletes (ages 3–5) start in Mini Shock. For a competitive focus, Causation (half-year) or Reconnaissance (regional) are excellent starting points.
Is prior cheer experience required?
Not at all. We welcome athletes of all skill levels. Placements focus on finding a safe, encouraging fit where your athlete can build confidence and progress at their own pace.
How are team placements and stunt positions determined?
Coaches place athletes based on age, skill level, experience, physical development, and team balance. Stunt positions (base, flyer, back spot) depend on routine needs, strength, flexibility, and safety. Positions are not fixed and may evolve as athletes develop new skills.
How often do teams practice, and is attendance mandatory?
Practice schedules are provided during registration and team placement. Because competitive cheer relies heavily on group stunting and choreography, consistent attendance at all scheduled practices is mandatory for team safety and success.
Can my athlete participate in other sports or activities?
Yes, but cheer requires a consistent commitment, especially as competitions approach. Please communicate any potential scheduling conflicts with the coaching staff as early as possible.
What happens if an athlete is sick or injured?
Athlete safety always comes first. Notify coaches immediately if your child is sick or injured so they can modify participation to protect the athlete while keeping the team prepared.
When and where are competitions held, and do families travel?
Most competitions take place on weekends across Washington, Oregon, and the broader Pacific Northwest, with National teams traveling out of state (e.g., Las Vegas). Schedules are finalized in late October once team rosters are set. Families are responsible for their own travel, lodging, and transportation.
What if a competition date or location changes?
Event schedules are set by outside competition organizers and are subject to change. Any updates will be communicated to families as soon as they are confirmed.
How do families receive important team information?
Official updates, schedules, and details are sent through Studio Pro and via email from ttcheer.info@gmail.com. Please check your spam or junk folders regularly to ensure you don't miss anything.
What is expected from Triple Threat families?
We thrive on a warm, positive, and supportive culture. We ask parents and guardians to help athletes arrive on time and prepared, communicate respectfully with staff, meet deadlines, and cheer on all team members with great sportsmanship.
What is the overall commitment?
Competitive cheer requires significant time, attendance, teamwork, dedication, and financial commitment throughout the season.
What is the financial commitment?
We believe families deserve to know what they're signing up for. Cheer is an investment in your athlete, and we want you to have a clear understanding of the costs before committing to a program. Full access to detailed financials will be provided in your welcome packet upon registration.
Monthly Tuition: Tuition varies by program and reflects the training, facility, coaching, and resources provided throughout the season. Depending on the program, tuition may include:
Additional Family Expenses: Families should also plan for out-of-pocket expenses that are generally not included in tuition:
Fundraising: Fundraising opportunities are available to help families offset eligible cheer expenses. Please note that fundraising cannot be used to replace your monthly tuition payments.
